In January 2013 I was assisting one of my original Kung Fu teachers, at a personal growth event, when one of the participants behaved in a manner indicating something was very deeply troubling her. I spoke to her at the end of the session and strongly urged her to speak to my Master, Satyen Raja. With great courage she did. He asked her if she would be willing to experience something that would take the 'charge' away from the trauma she experienced--which had triggered her and resulted in her reaction earlier. She agreed.
I stayed with a few of my peers and watched as he lead her through a short 20 minute process called Trauma Release. At the end of the process her face changed completely. It didn't make any sense to me. What he did seemed confusing and disjointed. I was curious to say the least. I thought, if that removes the charge attached to a trauma I NEED to know how to do it. I was especially intrigued when he asked, "Where's the trauma?" She said she didn't know. The charge was gone. How was that possible?
Fast forward to April and I was in Vancouver learning about Harmony Integration. Little did I know, when I interviewed Satyen for the methodology section in my book, Unlock The Door-Beyond Sexual Abuse, I would become proficient with the processes. At the training I learned the techniques and also experienced what it was like to experience the processes myself.
When I dove into my trauma and allowed myself to be vulnerable, I experienced a process I can not fully explain. Where there was immeasurable sadness, grief, despair and anger...there was none. What I felt disappeared - gone. That was a year ago and the 'charge' remains gone.
The video above is with my Master instructor, Satyen Raja. I spoke with him about Harmony Integration for my Reveal, Connect and Heal series (found on Youtube under then same name). It includes a video clip with a woman I worked with last summer. When she arrived she looked completely distraught. The video is her after a trauma release.
Though I work mostly with people victimized by sexual abuse, privately and in groups, these processes are effective for any situation where you feel stuck, are struggling and would like to remove a new or long-standing charge or find a new perspective.
The most resent release on coached removed the trauma from a serious car accident. I have also worked with performers, regarding fear issues and everyday folks with everyday struggles.
